Under telecom mobile network communication survey, there were 427 million subscribers in end 2009 which converts to growth rate of 6.3% over the year.
In 2004, there was 65.4% growth rate which increased to 81.9% in last year 2009. Number of mobile forecasted as mobile subscribers also are increased with average 2.2% growth with 466 million subscribers.
Comparing with other countries Russia, Ukraine and Poland were largest mobile subscribers with 208 million, 55 million and 28 million respectively. Together these countries generated growth rate of 72.2%. on the other hand, eastern Europe group Russia, Lithuania and Bulgaria had best penetration rate 147.2%, 148.4% and 147.4%.
Belarus along with Albania and Bosnia enjoyed good growth rate of 14.2%, 18.1% and 16.2% in 2009. Some of part of country also faced recession where, mobile subscriber’s growth rate were done and more than expected.
